DONATE!!!: THE GOOD NEWS COMMUNITY KITCHEN

First and foremost I want to think Mercedes for allowing me to use her organization to be the vessel where I can give back. I've always wanted to have an organization to be able to help my community but it just hasn't come into fruition. Maybe because I'm not ready or it's just not my path but it doesn't stop me from sowing my seeds of helping, right?! When I got reacquainted with Mercedes I was affected by her tenacity and drive when it came to making a difference. Seeing how she's made a difference and a positive influence with her community and the people around her really gave me inspiration.

Households with children are more likely to experience food insecurity. In 2018, more than 11 million children live in food-insecure households.
Every community in the country is home to families who struggle with food insecurity including rural and suburban communities.
Many households that experience food insecurity do not qualify for federal nutrition programs and need to rely on their local food banks and other hunger relief organizations for support.
