NOTHING IS BETTER THAN HAVING THAT PIECE THAT YOU CAN WEAR IN THE FALL/WINTER AND TURN AROUND AND BRING IT BACK TO LIFE IN THE SPRING/SUMMER!
As you know in my "Style Mama" entries it's about being realistic about our wardrobe and our everyday life. Quite often we get caught up in the perceptions of others and social media of what's considered stylish; and quite often it's based on the labels, cost, and visibility (how often we see you rocking it). Hey, I get it because it's business. Labels want their apparel to sell and style bloggers want to get paid to wear it.
However, if we take the business out of it.. how often do you wear something once and put it back in your closet to never wear it again? Better yet, how often do you purchase an expensive piece to not find ways to wear it multiple times? I don't have a money tree growing in my back yard and if so, it sure hell isn't any money on it.
I remember purchasing this skirt when I was thrifting last Fall and I paired it with my black Shoe Dazzle boots and a white crop. Listen, nothing like an easy flowy skirt with a boot, it just makes sense. However one thing about flowy skirts are they can just as easily be paired with a sandal in the Spring as an go to. Sis, you know we love a good "Go To".
As a mother, wife and entreprenuer a "Go To" look can save your whole day. You don't have to tear down your closet or go into a temporary plea of insanity because nothing fits the same. Well because of course you're bloated a week before Aunt Flow comes to visit. Nevertheless, being practical about your wardrobe doesn't mean you can't be stylish.... creative...yes, but stylish all day!
Become strategic when you're shopping. Find items you can wear in the colder seasons and flip that thing into your more warmer seasons. Don't act like your momma or grandmama didn't subconciously teach you these things on those infamous back school shopping days. It's all about pairing, so flip that shiii and reverse it!
